NEI Plus celebrates women’s day, launches radio drama on education in Bauchi, Sokoto

Staff of the USAID-funded Northern Education Initiative Plus (the Initiative) will join the rest of the world to mark the 2019 International Women’s Day celebrated globally on March 8, 2019. The theme for this year is “Balance For Better”. For us at NEI Plus, education is key to development and we believe it is part of the rights of women.

To celebrate this day, staff have enrolled for a free online course titled, “International Women’s Health and Human Rights” offered by the Stanford University, USA and taught entirely in English.

We, therefore, encourage you to join us in taking this course to help promote the rights of women and create a balance that will facilitate a better working world. Register here

The USAID Mission Director, Stephen M. Haykin will also launch a 24-episode radio drama on education in Bauchi on March 20, 2019.

The drama promotes educational values in the society and emphasizes the importance of female participation in education. Recorded in Hausa language, episodes will be broadcast on radio stations in Bauchi and Sokoto states.
